AgustaWestland Case: Italians Stump The Italian

The fact that the Congress' attempts to sabotage Italy's investigation into AgustaWestland case, is indication clear that their senior-most leaders including Sonia Gandhi were evidently involved in the fraud ...

Back in 2014 itself, documents released by Italian investigators had shown the deal was ‘driven' by Sonia ... Ahmed Patel, Oscar Fernandes, some senior government officials and then Air Force chief SP Tyagi, possibly received kickbacks ...

To bring the case to its logical conclusion, the Italian investigators had requested India to share critical documents related to the Rs 3,565 crore deal ...

Subsequently, Ministry of Defence submitted three documents a year later, despite Italy asking for full documentation in 2013 ...

The court then speculated India's unwillingness to cooperate in the investigation was due to the result of political pressure from the top ...

What made the court speculate this, was the handwritten note recovered from AgustaWestland Chief Giuseppe Orsi's cell in March 2013 ...

The note clearly suggested that Orsi tried to get the then Prime Minister of Italy Mario Monty and his diplomatic advisor Pasquale Q Terracciano, to intervene and reach out to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh ....

Kudos to the Italians for showing us how quickly they investigated and prosecuted the corrupt - Bruno Spagnolini and Orsi - on charges of international corruption and money laundering

Now it is up to Narendra Modi govt to find and name the bribe-takers, and bring them to book as per the due process of the law.

Clearly, BJP is on a strong wicket to bowl the Congress out by using the Italian googly on an Italian (Sonia) ... haha ...
